Ring the Bell - DVD review/giveaway

"Disclosure of Material Connection: I received one or more of the products or services mentioned above for free in hope that I would mention it on my blog. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part 255: "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising."

About Ring the Bell:Ring The Bell shares the story of a slick, big city sports agent Rob Decker who seems to have it all. But on his latest mission to sign a high school baseball superstar, Rob becomes stranded in a small town where the simplicity of life—and the faith of the people—stand in stark contrast to his own fast-paced, win-at-all-costs mindset. Torn between these two worlds, will Rob have the courage to let faith transform his life? This heartwarming story of redemption is sure to entertain and inspire the whole family.

Ring The Bell features a host of well-known Christian music artists, such as Mark Hall along with his band Casting Crowns, Steven Curtis Chapman, and Matthew West, all who play a role in this inspirational drama. Several former and current Major League Baseball all-stars are also featured in the film: ESPN analysts John Kruk and Rick Sutcliffe (a former Cy Young Award winner), along with Ben Zobrist.
This family-friendly movie was produced by Mark Miller, Beach Street Records' founder and Casting Crowns’ producer. Miller, who is also the lead singer and founder of country music group Sawyer Brown, co-wrote the script with Thomas Weber and Weber directed the production.

My Thoughts:
This is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time! In fact, this movie was chosen as our family movie night movie at church and everyone said it was the best movie we have ever watched at church. At the end of the movie I was asking another lady why they started cutting onions during the movie, as we both began to wipe our eyes.

We always have to humble ourselves before God can work in our lives. And sometimes He will allow us to be put into a situation that will cause us to become humble. The person that has everything, has no reason to feel like he needs God. As my pastor has said before, If we are never sick we will not know that God can heal us.

I will not give away this movie because I truly feel that anyone that watches it will be blessed! So I am going to go ahead with the giveaway. If you would like to win your own copy of Ring the Bell, then enter through the Rafflecopter below.

This is Our Time - movie review/giveaway

About This Is Our Time

The movie tells the interwoven stories of Luke (T.J. Dalrymple) and Alé (Erin Bethea), who marry right after school and move to India to serve as missionaries for Embrace A Village, a ministry that cares for those afflicted with leprosy and their families; aspiring financier Catherine (Kate Cobb), who joins a prestigious financial institution determined to make an impact on corporate America; Ryder (Matthew Florida), who lands an impressive job in social media and can’t wait to use the powerful medium for a greater good; and Ethan (Shawn-Caulin Young,) seemingly the odd man out, who struggles to find his God-given-purpose and feels sidelined by God.

“What they all come to learn is that it never really was their time,” Arnold said. “It always was, always is, God’s time.”

My Thoughts

There are times in our lives when we feel like we have everything worked out. We know exactly what we need to do, where we need to go, and we just know that we have our life worked out. But then, something happens....

There is a country song that says "Some times I thank God for unanswered prayers." There are times we can look back on those situations that we thought we had all planned out, and we can say Thank God things turned out differently. We have all dated someone that we thought was "the one", but when we get married to the "Real One", we look back and realize God had someone better in mind. It is hard when we are in those situations - the break-up from the love of our life that we thought we were gonna marry - but as we look back we realize God's plan.

That is what is going on in this movie. This group of friends has graduated from college, and for the most part they "know" what they are going to do. As they set out on their journeys, they soon find out that their plans are not always what God has planned.

This is a great movie for anyone that is struggling with trying to find out what calling God has on their life.  "We often think of God's calling as something for us to do, but, in reality, God's calling is something for us to be!"

ZzzQuil - for a good night's sleep

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of ZzzQuil for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Do you ever have a hard time falling asleep or staying asleep? There are some nights that I have so many things going through my mind that I have a hard time falling asleep. Thankfully, for me, it is not a problem all the time. My husband has to take a sleeping pill every night.

I was recently given the opportunity to try ZzzQuil - from the makers of NyQuil. I think they made this stuff just for me because I am bad for taking NyQuil to fall asleep some nights. Thank goodness I don't have to do that any more. I now can take ZzzQuil and get a good night's sleep without taking other medications that I don't need. Check out the product overview:

•  ZzzQuil is brought to you by the makers of Vicks NyQuil, for when your only symptom is occasional sleeplessness. It’s not for colds, it’s not for pain, it’s just for sleep.
•  ZzzQuil’s active ingredient, diphenhydramine HCI, helps reduce the time it takes for you to fall asleep when you have difficulty falling asleep, so you can sleep soundly and wake up refreshed.
•  ZzzQuil is the only over-the-counter sleep-aid medication available in both Liquid (Warming Berry flavor) and LiquiCap® forms.
•  ZzzQuil is a sleep-aid product that delivers the effective relief that consumers have come to expect from Vicks products.
•  ZzzQuil is intended for adults and children 12 years of age and older. It is non-habit forming as well as safe and effective when used according to package directions. More information about ZzzQuil is available at www.zzzquil.com

I tried the liquid, it has a very good taste and I had not problem taking it. I tried this out on the night that we came home from a very long trip. My husband's grandfather passed away, so we had an 8-9 hour trip both ways. Of course, we came home on Sunday night and had to be back at work on Monday morning so my mind would not settle down. I was glad my ZzzQuil had come in so I could try it out. I fell asleep really fast and never even woke up to use the bathroom - I usually have to get up at least once a night - so I slept wonderfully!! I did not move until my alarm went off and I was sleeping so good then that it almost scared me.

The next night I had my husband try it out. Like I said, he takes a sleeping pill every night and then still it may take him several hours to fall asleep and he don't sleep well. With the ZzzQuil, he told me he slept better than he has slept in a while. He did not have a problem falling asleep and slept all night. I don't think he even snored that night, plus for me!

I encourage you, if you have any problems sleeping to try out ZzzQuil. You will love it just like we did!

Connect with ZzzQuil on their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/#!/ZzzQuil?fref=ts and on twitter https://twitter.com/ZzzQuil.  If you try ZzzQuil, be sure to post your results on their facebook page and twitter - use the hashtag #ZzzQuilNight. And of course, leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts as well.
